Tuesday night at the Uvalde High School soccer field, the Uvalde Lobos will make their home season debut as they host the Laredo United Lady Longhorns.
Varsity action is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a 5 p.m. junior varsity match.
The Lobos will come into their home opener following weekend tourney action at West Columbia High School.
Coach Keith Pendleton’s Lobos, 4-2 for the season, defeated the Terry Rangers, 5-0,in their tourney opener Thursday.
Ahlaynah Barrientos, Fiona White, Isis Chapa, Balerie Muñoz, and Victoria Martinez each scored a goal for the Lobos.
Kasidy Hernandez had an assist on the Barrientos goal, Jaqueline Rodriguez-Mendez had an assist on the White goal, and Natalie Villa record an assist on the Chapa goal.
Muñoz and Martinez had unassisted goals.
Friday the Lobos were to play the Stafford Spartans and the Port Lavaca Calhoun Sandies, while the tourney was set to conclude yesterday.

Following their season home opener Tuesday, the Lobos will go up against the La Grange Leopards in a 5:30 p.m. road match slated for Friday.
Coyotes debut Friday
The Uvalde Coyotes will make their season home debut Friday when they take on the San Antonio Memorial Minutemen at the UHS soccer field.
At 7 p.m., the varsity teams will collide.
Prior to that match, the junior varsity teams will play, beginning at 5 p.m.
The UHS boys were in Pleasanton for tourney action this weekend.
Coach George Menchaca’s Coyotes, 1-4 for the season, were set to play the La Vernia Bears and the Wimberley Texans in their first two matches.
Tournament play was set to wind up yesterday.
Pleasanton tourney results will be reported in a future edition of the Leader-News.
The Coyotes went into the tourney trying to end a four-match losing streak, following Tivy tourney losses to Kerrville Tivy, Sharyland Pioneer, and Lockhart last weekend.
Medina Valley beat the Coyotes, 7-0, in soccer competition last Tuesday night at Castroville.
