Charlotte Storm Forces Ricky Stenhouse Jr to Partner Up With Chili Bowl Rivals Including Christopher Bell for Road Trip Back Home

Recently, Charlotte was hit with a snowstorm; because of this, the air traffic was severely affected. This meant that many drivers who took part in the Chili Bowl Nationals were left stranded in Tulsa with no way home. So, a few of those drivers, including Ricky Stenhouse Jr., decided to improvise.

And with a little help from his friends, Stenhouse Jr. decided to hit the road.

Of course, the severe weather conditions wouldn’t have made for the most pleasant of road trips. Regardless, Nick Hoffman, who accompanied the NASCAR driver, updated the fans on their journey.

Hoffman wrote, “Flights canceled. @StenhouseJr and I decided to drive home right after the races last night. He handled the night shift and I just took over. Kind of ass backwards from normal but we are diggin. 8 hours togo not counting having to slow when we get back into snow.”

Then he updated that there was another addition to their party, the Chili Bowl runner-up, Christopher Bell.

“Got in the draft with @CBellRacing and made decent time through Georgia and SC. We got to a spot of bad roads and had a guy clear all 4 lanes twice completely sideways and kept it out of the fence. Pretty impressive save,” Hoffman wrote.

To this tweet, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. replied, “Once we got in the draft we picked up time on the ETA. Still way better than sitting in tulsa waiting for a flight.”

So it seems that partnering up with his colleagues was indeed a better decision for Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

A few days ago, JTG Daugherty Racing announced a new primary sponsorship for Stenhouse Jr for two races in the next season. The No.47 Camaro will be sponsored by Irish Spring Body Wash for the Daytona 500 in February and the Bristol dirt race in April.

As for how Ricky Stenhouse Jr thinks the next season will be for him and his team, he made some bold predictions, “We’ve got a lot of tracks circled and feel good about our chances to make the playoffs this season.”

“This season is going to be the sweetest one.”
