Beard has netted a job to build a new clubhouse for the All England Lawn Tennis Club in Raynes Park, South London.
No official value has been put on the job but it is understood to be north of £10m.
The contractor will construct a two-storey building at the club’s Community Tennis Centre, which is used to train up the ball boys and girls for Wimbledon.
Designed by London firm Langstaff Day Architects, others working on the deal include QS Turner & Townsend and consulting engineer Cundall Johnson & Partners.
The scheme forms part of an expansion programme at the site, which needs more space to accommodate demand for its services. The centre is also home to a coaching programme for nurturing young tennis talent.
The green roof-topped clubhouse will feature a large double-height entrance lobby, studio space, a cafe and an elevated terrace with views over a new main court. The plans also include a new car park and landscaping work.
It is the final phase of improvement works at the site, which saw six new courts opened to the public in 2016 by tennis stars Andy Murray and Tim Henman.
