BOCA RATON, FLA. – Senior Sarah Fouratt (Santa Maria, Calif.) and Ginevra Zavagli (Rome, Italy) each shot a 1-over-par, 73, in the opening round to lead the Seton Hall women’s golf team to a tie for 14th place after one round of the 2022 FAU Paradise Invitational on Monday.
The second round is well-underway, but was halted due to darkness. The second round will continue at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, followed by a third, final round.
Fouratt and Zavagli are tied for 44th place after 18 holes. They trail the individual leader, Mississippi State’s Julia Lopez Ramirez by nine strokes.
Margot Bechadergue (Aix En Provence, France) is only one stroke behind Fouratt and Zavagli after a 2-over-par, 74.
Ludovica Busetto (Padova, Italy) shot a 4-over-par, 76, in round one, while freshman Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) fired a 6-over-par, 78.

The Course:
Having received numerous awards since its opening in 2010, Osprey Point Golf Course is one of the top public golf courses in Florida. Featuring 27 holes spread out in three nine-hole courses, Osprey Point provides a serene setting with a Platinum Paspalum turf, which presents a lush playing surface from tee to green.
The Field:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Florida Atlantic, the field is comprised of 13 other teams including: Arkansas State, Colorado State, Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International, James Madison, Loyola-Chicago, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Florida, South Florida, USTA, Vanderbilt.
The Format:
Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.
The Schedule:
The field will play two continuous rounds on Monday, and one, final round on Tuesday. For Monday’s rounds, the Pirates will be paired with golfers from Colorado State and Florida Gulf Coast with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Sunday’s final round pairings will be determined by the golfers’ Saturday performance with a shotgun start also at 8:00 a.m.
