The Las Vegas Police Department has issued a statement
Alvin Kamara plays for the New Orleans Saints and also his ties to NASCAR. He competed in the Pro Bowl on Sunday afternoon. Later that day, the NFL player was arrested.
Link to NASCAR? The 26-year-old visited his first NASCAR race in 2020. He quickly became invested in the sport.
In 2021, Kamara partnered with NASCAR to serve as a Growth and Engagement Advisor. He works directly with the sanctioning body on “strategic planning and creative opportunities that support its fan development efforts.”
The collaboration is connected through Kamara’s team at Klutch Sports Group. They help find new audiences through educational experiences.
Kamara’s interest in the sport was sparked by Bubba Wallace’s stand on racial equality. Four days later, he attended his first race.
Last year, Kamara’s Louisiana-based juice bar, The Big Squeezy, sponsored Ryan Vargas in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway.
