I think Blazers fans are probably right to be a bit upset about the deal they completed yesterday with the Clippers that saw them acquire Keon Johnson, Eric Bledsoe and Justise Winslow for Norman Powell and Robert Covington. A big part of that move, as our Jason Quick outlined smartly today, had to do with the financial ramifications. The Blazers moved Powell’s $75 million in guaranteed salary remaining over the next four years to acquire players with just over $10 million guaranteed following this season. Moving Powell clears the books for a team that still doesn’t exactly have a clean…
Richard Childress Racing’s Reddick had led the race for 51 laps on the quarter-mile track, after passing Kyle Busch, until his car suddenly lost power under a caution following Ricky Stenhouse’s spin. Rather than blame the car, Reddick held himself accountable for being too aggressive as he weaved and dumped the clutch on his 670bhp Chevrolet Camaro. “I was trying to get some heat in the tyres,” he told Fox Sports, “and I think I broke the transaxle, I don’t know that’s a little scary, thinking about all the pitstops that we’ll do, just dropping the clutch like that. So,…
Getty Images MLB owners voted unanimously to lock the players out at the expiration of the 2016 collective bargaining agreement on Dec. 2. Roughly six weeks passed before they presented their offer for a new CBA to the MLB Players Association and the two sides haven’t made much progress in a few back-and-forths since. The owners will reportedly meet this week in Orlando to decide their next steps in negotiations, per MLB Network’s Jon Heyman. Late last week, the owners submitted a request for assistance from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, an independent federal government organization. Such a request required…

Spieth is tied with pre-tournament favorite, Patrick Cantlay, with the pair heading into the final 18 holes on Sunday as…

Ricky Ponting, Steve Waugh, Mark Taylor, Mitchell Johnson, Kim Hughes, Matthew Hayden… and the list goes on. The ugly divorce between Cricket Australia (CA) and Justin Langer has not gone down well and the reaction from some of the country’s most highly-decorated ex-players reflects that. Now current skipper Pat Cummins is coming under fire, with Johnson in particular scathing of the 28-year-old, accusing him of being “gutless” in failing to publicly back Langer.
